Going on a Feeling
|
Wait the world is burning
And still I wonder
Patient and with hope.
On this darkest day
An emerald fell from the sky.
A ray of light shining through.
A morning sun I never want to leave.
No sun, stay,
Do not set
Let it be day for now
And for night.
Let it be forever, this light,
That I may know you.
How often does a pen flow so soundly
Like the wind on a rolling earth.
Serendipity, be my muse!
Let this light fall upon me!
Fill me with music for the soul-for the heart.
Yet I dare not say a word
In a whisper do often wishes disappear.
So I sleep and dream, the morrow will bring a new dawn.
