Fools
And so the world is
A bucket of lies
Hid behind faces
Sown in disguise
Hiding the frowns
With icicle smiles...
Pondering thoughts,
Where does it end?
Are they foes?
Are they friends?
Who knows what feelings dwell in our hearts
What thoughts pulse in our minds-only we do.
Are we true to our own will?
Or do we hide and whisper still
Deceit as taught throughout the years
Those lies that help distill our fears
And to deny-deface the truth-
Of what we were in youth.
Society now has us bound by its' rules
As now we play the part of fools.
