Standing
Bracing myself to last the times
And live my elder days
I must attain my shining light, the internal flint
That sets my heart ablaze
A tireless journey, a pilgrim’s march
The endless search inside
To ensure I do not lose this fight
I preserve the need to change the tide
To find the soul inside the shell
To end this theatrical play
For without the masks the truth is this:
It is I who ran away

i find that more often than not the emotion we suffer from the most is that of regret
