Complete A Poem
Prescious Youth

  • by jeremy
    I recall
    breathing into the night
    caring
    losing
    dying
not caring what came of tomorrow

    sleeping
    summer
    away
    again
    lost in confusion and doubt
    again

    I recall
a time when I, too, was young.
It may seem odd, it's really true.
    You say I'm far flung,
    but so are you.

    Just look at yourself now,
    Truth be told...
    you're a scruff, a no one.
    I can't belive you'll grow old.

    Old like me,
    no, it cannot be.
    You're just like me,
    when I was three.

I liked mud, I liked dirt,
    I liked girls with skirts...
I liked fire I liked water,
The looks I got from father.

    The air I breathed
    was too good to leave.
    I'm still young,
    though I may be done.

    I recall
    an ancient teacher, Mrs Welling
who griped and groaned about my spelling

    I recall
a time when love was not always romantic.
And daisies where gifts in full bloom,
    instead of dying weeds.
I remember a day when you did not hate me so,
and perhaps I didn't need you as much,
    and forever really ment something.

    I recall

    I recall my precious youth,
as playing with games and toys,

with not a care in the world, not even with boys,

unprepared for what life had in store.

Now that I'm older, I no longer play with games or toys,
Oh how I wish I could go back for more.

    Unfortunately, this is impossible,
    how depressing yet so logical.

    I recall
    the day
when I ran thru the grass
    spinning and twirling
    to welcome the Spring
    basking in the glow
    of the warm sunshine
    and whistling tunes of
    past childhood days.
For this I will call it
    my precious youth.

    I recall
I'm so tired of the failed hope
The broken attempts that leave me here faithless
It's time that I finally realized
    You don't love me
I let go of the living
I take my one last breath
I feel all the pain leave me
    Relief inside my chest.
    Looking up, a smile made.
    Going down, then fade away.
    You said you would
Countless times made me believe you
    When it never mattered anyway
    And you never came
    I fought for years,
    and now I'm dying.
    They dont bothergive me medication,
Im becoming worse every secong of the day.
its my sainty you drove away,
    i cant live with you,
how am i ment to live with out you?
    But then i recall,
all the things you have done for me,
baby im sorry, im so nasty

    Katay I love you

    I recall
    sitting in the park
pulling the rocks out of my shoes....
    running,falling,and getting grass stains...
    cuts,scraps,tears,and laughter...

    I recall
    asking you
    a simple question

I recall your simple answer too
you said, so quickly, without a thought, "No."

    And I walked away.

    I recall
    a time when I didn't care.
I recall a time when I'd take any dare,
I recall I time when I smoked grass,
I recall a time when I kicked your ass.

I recall a place that held no fear,
I recall a place I hold so dear,
I recall a place that I hold true,
I recall a place when I was with you.

I recall words that really rocked,
I recall words you said when we fucked,
I recall words that confused the hell out of me,
I recall words that made me free.

I recall this boy who made me mad,
I recall this boy denied every fad,
I recall this boy who made my toes curl,
I recall this boy who became my world.

I forget now that I've grown up,
I forget now that I'm in a rut.
I forget now why I do not know,
I forget now, how fast we all grow

    I recall
a day when i was able to nap, in school,
    and not get in trouble,
    i recall a dress that i loved,
    my favorite color blu.
    i recall doing things,
    and not thinking,
    not being embarassed,
that time is no sinking away.
    Now it's test and book
and my dress is now a skirt
    and no naps in school
and noone to kiss the cuts when i get hurt.
    So holdlong to the memories
    of when u were young
    remember the bad
    and remember the fun.

    I recall
    Prescious youth.

    Prescious youth don't go away,
    Prescious youth come to stay,
Prescious youth I need your ways,
    Prescious youth tell to say,
Prescious youth I want to always play,
Prescious youth is my only way,
Prescious youth is what makes the day,
    Prescious youth stay with thee,
    Prescious youth never leave,
    Prescious youth let me see,
Prescious youth your truly prescios to me.

    I recall
    when all was well
but now all we do is just dwell and dwell
    on your wrongs
    so maybe we dont belong
    2gether now...

    I recall
    Blood splatered across the wall
    A knife in my hand
    No one could understand
My family and friends all dead
Because of these voices in my head
    They yell and they scream
Telling me it's just a bad dream
But inside I feel my blood flow
    Becuase i realy know
That what i'm doing is real
And i don't care about there lives i'm about to steal.
